What is RouteShelf?
RouteShelf keeps your saved places and multi-stop routes on a shelf. When it's time to go, one tap hands the whole route to the map app you already use — Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Yandex. RouteShelf doesn't do navigation itself; it makes sure you never rebuild the same route twice.
How do I add a place?
Go to the Places tab and tap add. Use your current location or pick a point on the map — search for an address, drop the pin, adjust it, and save. Every saved place can be reused in any number of routes.
How do I build and start a route?
In the Routes tab, create a route and add your saved places as stops — drag to reorder them. Tap Start and choose a map app; the full stop list is handed over in order. Need a one-off trip? Use Quick Route on the Home page — it's never saved.
Why can't I add more stops?
Map apps have their own stop limits — for example Google Maps accepts fewer stops than Yandex. RouteShelf warns you when a route exceeds the limit of the app you're starting it in, and tells you which apps can take the whole route.
How does the widget work?
Add the RouteShelf widget to your home screen, then pick which routes appear on Home using Edit — the order you set there also applies in the widget. Tapping a route in the widget starts it straight away.
Is my data backed up?
Your data lives on your device. You can turn on iCloud backup in Settings — it backs up to your own private iCloud, and you can restore it when you reinstall or switch phones. You can delete the backup anytime from within the app.
Subscriptions & restore
Premium is an auto-renewing subscription with a free trial on the yearly plan. Manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Bought premium on another device? Use Restore Purchases in the app's Settings.
