How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple, not inside the app:
1. Open iOS Settings
2. Tap your Apple ID at the top
3. Tap Subscriptions
4. Select DogRoutine → Cancel Subscription
You'll keep premium access until the end of your current billing period.
I paid but premium isn't active. What do I do?
Open DogRoutine, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchases. This re-syncs your subscription status with Apple.
If it still doesn't unlock after a restart, email us with your Apple receipt and we'll sort it out.
My reminders aren't showing up
Make sure notifications are allowed:
1. Open iOS Settings → Notifications → DogRoutine
2. Enable Allow Notifications
3. Enable Sounds and Banners
Also check that Focus mode or Do Not Disturb isn't silencing them.
Can I back up or sync my data across devices?
Not yet. DogRoutine stores everything locally on your device for privacy. Your data is included in standard iCloud device backups, so if you restore to a new iPhone, your dog profiles come with it.
Cross-device sync is on our roadmap — let us know if you'd like this feature.
I lost my data. Can you recover it?
Unfortunately, no. Because DogRoutine doesn't upload data to any server, we have no copy of it. Your data lives entirely on your device.
If you deleted the app, check whether your iCloud backup contains a recent snapshot of your iPhone — restoring from that backup may bring it back.
What happens to my premium routines if I stop subscribing?
Your premium routines are paused, not deleted. They stay safely stored on your device. When you subscribe again, they reactivate exactly where they left off — completion history, notes, and schedule intact.
Only the free-tier routines (walk, feeding, water, potty) remain active while you're on the free plan.
Why do I see ads? Can I remove them?
A small banner ad appears at the bottom of the dashboard on the free tier. This helps support ongoing development.
Subscribing to any premium plan (Monthly, Yearly, or Lifetime) removes all ads instantly.
What data does DogRoutine collect?
None, by us. All your dog profiles, routines, and photos stay on your device.
On the free tier, Google AdMob collects standard ad-related information (see our Privacy Policy for details). Premium users have no ads and no AdMob data collection.
